The Secret Garden is a novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published in book form in 1911.
Mary Lennox is a young girl who was born in India, but after some life-changing events she has to leave the country.
She is very cute and she makes me feel both happy and sad at times.
Colin Craven it is a child with a sad past, he makes me feel sad.
When Mary’s parents die of cholera she has to go to her uncle in Yorkshire.
When she arrives there she is told not to leave her room and she may not go out. When Martha, who is working for Mary’s uncle, tells her about the garden, she starts looking for it.
At the end her joy will bring her uncle and the people who live in his home to happiness.
Our favorite part of the book is when Mary and Dickon share the secret with Colin.
I recommend this book to everyone struggling to overcome problems of their own. I found it very uplifting.
